Sir Garcia, yan ang tawag sakin ng mga students ko. I’m an adjunct professor, I teach a short course about creative writing.

My dream was to become a writer, but writing fiction doesn’t pay much. So I gave up.

Now, I’m an adjunct professor I get hired when no one sa mga full time professor ang gusto mag take ng summer class or short course na ino-offer ng school. What I love about my job is I get to talk about writing pa din which is my passion, and I get to meet people that have a deeper mind about it— just like me.

Sa mga naging student ko may isa na nakapukaw ng atensyon ko. I know she’s different, and her name is Amy.

After class kinakausap niya ako, humihingi siya ng book recommendation sa akin na pwede niya daw i-review and he will ask me about it kung ano magiging reaction ko sa review niya sa book. This is what I like sa mga nagiging student ko, they’re eager to learn and open for others opinions about their work or about the things they like to do.

Amy is a beautiful girl— she has an innocent appeal, dark hair, sexy, and her eyes that shimmers whenever I look. She looks too delicate to look after her own garden— I know I need to do something for this girl, she needs me.

To be honest at first hindi ko alam na magkakasundo kami, tahimik lang siya sa class ko. Hindi siya yung klase ng estudyante na magtatanong while in discussion, she keeps it tapos kapag wala ng tao that’s when she’s gonna ask me questions. It’s fine with me, especially kung siya yung nagtatanong. I’m not gonna lie this girl intrigued me— I like her, she is interesting.

“Okay, class over. See you guys on friday!” Nagtuturo ako three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I think that’s one of the perks kapag adjunct professor ka you get to choose your own schedule.

While I’m fixing my things on my table, napansin ko papalapit si Amy sakin.

I heard her sighed bago magsalita.

“Sir Garcia, can you recommend another book that I can review?” I look her in the eye, and there again saw the look that makes my mind wander.

“Uhm yes, actually I have something in my mind that I want you to review.” Naupo muna ako bago ko sabihin kung ano yung gusto ko ipa-review sakanya.

“Sit Amy.” I said it in all seriousness.

Naupo naman siya agad. I noticed her breathing changed, and there is something in her eyes.

“Do you remember the day you asked me what kind of stuff I wrote?”

She nod. “Yes Sir, you said Romance.”

“Yes, but that wasn’t entirely true. Because what I was really writing at the time was pornography. BDSM mostly.”

I can tell that she was shocked.

I’m not sure why I told her about it. Maybe because I’m just an adjunct professor, and darating ang time na hindi ko naman na siya makikita, I’m just here for the summer. But of course I know it’s not true. Deep inside me just really want her to know that part of me.

I know I’m a sexual dominant by nature. Pero I’m not like other men that will claim they’re dominant just because they like spanking their girl. No, I have this sensitivity for women— I know who are attracted to my type, and, at some point Amy giving me signs. There was something about her, something I felt.

“You can read it if you want.” I told her. I gave her the web where she can read it and gave her my pen name. To be honest, there’s a part of me thinking that she’s not gonna read it, the odds are she might forget my pen name.

She didn’t say anything. I stood up and took a book from my bag and hand it over to her.

“I want you to review this book.”

The book was Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Yes, I told her about my story but it doesn’t mean I want her to review it. I just want her to know it— I wanna know if what I think about her is true.

I’ll try to write this story from a man’s point of view. I hope kaya ko haha! Nasa draft ko na ‘to ng ilang araw, ‘di ko ma publish kasi hindi ko pa din alam pano ko iko-construct ng ayos yung naiimagine ko na mga scenarios dito. Peroooo, bahala na hahaha!!
