This is the continuation of Basketball story arc from Chapter 5. Please read that chapter first to get the context of the succeeding chapters.
“Bro pwede ba kita makausap?” Pumasok na SMS sa cellphone ni Dave galing sa isang unknown number.
“Who’s this?” Reply nya.
“Randy” reply ng number after a few seconds.
Tatlong Randy ang kilala ni Dave at lahat yun nakasave sa phone nya ang numbers.
“Randy who?” text back nya.
Ilang segundo bago may pumasok na reply. Nag expect sya ng mahabang paliwanay base sa tagal ng pasok ng reply pero isang maikling message lang ang pumasok.
“MVP… you had sex with my girl” direct to the point.
Inutugan si Dave sa nabasang SMS. The mighty Randy. Napangisi sya ng maalala ang hapong yun kunsaan kinantot nya ang sexing cheerleader gf ni alpha male MVP Randy sa mismong harap nya. At lalo syang napangisi sa pilyong reply na kanyang naisip.

Napaisip si Dave. Alam nyang maangas na MVP si Randy. Ilang beses na itong napanood sa TV habang naglalaro. Mayabang pero pikon. Ayaw patalo. Alpha male na laging nang-iisa. And now he wants to see him in his place.
“Di kaya ambahan nila ako when I get there?” isip ni Dave.
Di pa man siya nakakaisip ng next move, biglang nagring ang phone nya. The unknown number is calling him. He answered on speaker.
“Hello…” came the low baritone voice of Randy. Dave knows his voice from watching interviews after winning games. Celebrity status din to dahil isa syang kilalang star player being groomed to join the big league after graduation. But somehow there’s a tone of desperation in the usually cocky voice.
“I’m not sure bro…..” said Dave still cautious of any plan of revenge from Randy and his team.
“Please pre, I don’t know what else to do.” same desperate tone. Manly but desperate.
“Just know if I agree, I’m letting some people know I’m going there so if I get harmed……” Dave explained but Randy cut him off.
“I promise. It’s not about that. I mean it’s about that but not about you. I mean it’s about you but not about that….” Randy sighed in frustration.
Dave decided he sounded incoreherently sincerely desperate. “Okay fine. Text me me your address.” he said before dropping the call. He knows the area where the Randy lives in their subdivision but not the exact house.
“Salamat. #28 General St cor. Captain St. I owe you.” came another reply.
It was less than 2-minute drive. He parked in front of a big corner house na pag-aari ng mayamang pamilya ni Randy. Dave rang the door bell habang palinga-linga, alert on defensive stance for any attack lalo ng marinig ang pagbukas ng marangyang gate.
Instead, a crestfallen Randy opened the door and meekly nodded at Dave to follow him inside the house.
Kung ordinaryong tao, siguradong mamangha sa laki at gara ng bahay nila Randy. Naglawak ng open layout sala na puno ng mamahaling gamit. Sumunod si Dave paakyat sa kwarto ni Randy sa taas. Pagbukas ng kwarto, halos kasing laki ng 2 kwarto ni Dave ang buong kwarto ni Randy.
Nakadisplay sa isang side ang mga collection ng medalya at tropeyo ni Randy including his back to back MVP awards, signed basketballs at iba pang sports memorabilla.
Sa kabilang side naman nagkalat ang mga luho tulad ng mini stage with drum set and electric guitar, at isang mamahaling motorbike simulator video came. Ang gara tingnan ng simulator motorbike.
“Damn dude, you’re big boy toys are dope!” Dave exclaimed in amazement.
“Yeah? I thought so too. Until you showed me the most important size that matters. Yun lang sapat na para makuha ang lahat,” says Randy in a very serious tone.

Dave: “So then if that’s not the problem, then what is?”

Napatingin si Dave sa ginagawa ni Randy.
Randy: “Hi hon….. he’s here (napalunok) on my favorite bike”
As if on cue, the door from Randy’s lavish CR opened, and out came the new fiance – Maureen with a big diamond engagement ring on her fingers and nothing else.
