Hey, there. It’s me, Ash.

It’s tough not being conventionally pretty. Saklap, no?

Not really.

I’m sure you’ve heard all the call center stories, myths, and legends. Most of them are true. I know because I work for one of the biggest centers in the metro. I’ve been to many companies at age 27. It’s fun, pero nakakaumay. Mas exciting padin ang nightlife. Dancing, drinks, and you know what comes next.

I got curves, my arms were toned, and I had arguably the best legs and ass in my team at work. I did well at work, kaya kapag nagsusuot ako ng short dress or short shorts sa office, wala silang masabi. Hehehe!

But those are stories for another day. Lagi akong nasa bars and clubs sa QC. I love to drink and I love to dance even more. Kung may lalandi, why not? Basta malinis at mabango siya.

Birthday ng isa kong ka-tropa so diretso akong Tomas Morato dahil day-off ko naman. I wore a green camo sweater, very short denim shorts, and my classic Stan Smiths; always on fleek. I let him stare, why not? I even crossed my legs just to see his pants tighten. Hehehe! Too bad I arrived early dahil walang traffic.

The night was great. She invited some other friends of hers so it was even more fun. This is where I met Max. He was well-dressed, average height, but boy was he clean and smelled so good. I also liked the not-so-noisy type. I noticed he was checking me out while I was dancing and I liked it. The night ended normally, though. But that was up until I got a friend request the next day…

“Hi, Ash. Marie’s friend here,” he said. Syempre medyo kinilig ako, but I took some time to reply. “Oh, hey! We weren’t able to talk much. Hahaha!” True, and the few times we talked, his eyes just kept staring downstairs. Mag-pants na kaya ako? Naaaah. Hehehe!

We chatted a bit that day. He kept mentioning that I looked good that night, which is alam ko naman.

What makes me look good, aber?” I said, playfully with emojis. It took him a while to respond. I got worried na baka I came on too strong, but then I saw the “typing” icon.

“Ah, nahihiya akong sabihin. Baka magalit ka. Hehehe!”

Ay, alam na. Confirmed. Time to work my charm so we can stop acting like kids.

“Uy di ah. Sige na. I promise, open-minded ako,” I quickly replied, eager to read what I knew he would say. I really don’t like cheesy convos. They don’t suit me at all. O baka hindi lang ako sanay. Doesn’t matter because he didn’t hesitate to respond.

“Very nice legs, Ash. Plus the way you dance. Mukhang masaya kang kasama.”

It was time to set things in motion.

“Talaga? Wow, thanks. Medyo nafeel ko din kasi I kept catching you looking. But I don’t mind,” nireply ko with a feeling of pride and excitement.

“Wanna get some coffee? Anong oras shift mo?” he said.

“This weekend, let’s. Para wala akong pasok. G?” I replied quickly.

“G”

It was settled.
